STC introduces new security elements on Czech Television
The state-run security printing works STÁTNÍ TISKÁRNA CENIN, s.p. (STC) has produced banknotes, documents and other security printed items continuously since 1928. STC continuously monitors current trends in the field of protection of banknotes, documents, securities, security printed items and is improving their security. For each security printed item, we propose an ideal combination of used security features depending on the individual customer requirements, technical solution and price.
We recently had the opportunity to see a Studio 6 live broadcast in which General Director Tomáš Hebelka, MSc and Production Director Ing. Ondřej Hyršl presented the new security elements for use on banknotes and documents (passports, identity cards, etc.). This concerns security elements:
- visible to the naked eye,
- detectable by special technical means (UV lamp, magnifying glass),
- elements for forensic protection, detectable by laboratory methods and means for unambiguous determination of authenticity.
The hot news in the area of security elements on banknotes are, for instance, Spark Live and the transparent window, demetallized hologram with micro-perforations, pearlescent colours. The gentlemen demonstrated their use in practice on the ninetieth anniversary on the commemorative sheet in banknote format, which the STC publishes in connection with the significant anniversary commemorating 90 years of its establishment. At the same time, in connection with this anniversary, the State Printing Works of Securities is preparing a unique exhibit called “90 years with the State Printing Works of Securities”. The public is being offered a unique opportunity to learn about the history, development and production of Czech currency, stocks, bonds, personal documents and other securities in the beautiful premises of the Strahov Monastery. More information about the exhibition is available on our website in the part “About the exhibition”.
