STC succeeded with the Track & Trace project
Dear website visitor,
We would like to share our success story with you regarding digital tobacco product labelling. The Track & Trace system (TPD) came into effect on May 20, 2019. By government resolution, STC was appointed as official code distributor for economic subjects involved in the manufacturing, distribution and sales of individual tobacco product packagings. STC was among the few EU code issuers ready with a week’s advance start and was the first EU country to have begun generating unique identifications for tobacco products.
We currently have almost 17.5k economic subjects with over 30,000 facilities entered in our system and contracts with 4 tobacco product manufacturers operating in the Czech Republic. Contract negotiations with 2 other foreign manufacturers importing tobacco products to the Czech Republic are currently underway.
