Amendment to the Act on Food and Tobacco Products

This is to inform you that an amendment to Act No. 110/1997 Coll., on food and tobacco products, will enter into force on 12 May 2021. The amendment adapts the EU regulation on official controls implementing the new legal regulation of official controls of tobacco products and food, among others. From this day on, the amendment is published in the Collection of Laws under ref. No. 174/2021 Coll.
The state enterprise STATE PRINTING WORKS OF SECURITIES was appointed, pursuant to Article 3 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/574, the sole publisher in the territory of the Czech Republic of:
- a unique identifier at the level of unit packaging under Article 6 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/574;
- a unique identifier at the level of group packaging under Article 10 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/574;
- an economic operator identification code under Article 14 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/574;
- a facility identification code under Article 16 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/574; and
- a machine identification code under Article 18 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/574.
We are still here for all economic operators participating in the trade of tobacco products within the European Union. Simply register yourself in the system Track&Trace operated by the State Printing Works of Securities.
