STC shall supply tachographs for the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic

The STC and the Ministry of Transport has signed a contract for production and personalization of tachograph digital cards for drivers. The four-year contract is worth approximately CZK 160 million. The STC shall start delivering the cards from April 2018.

Establishment of co-operation with STC for the Ministry of Transport entails a 30% saving as compared to Asseco CE, a.s.

The change of supplier itself will not have any impact on the drivers. At present, our company supplies, for instance, driving licences for the Ministry of Transport or national registration cards for the Ministry of the Interior. We shall start deliveries on 30 March 2018. The change from 1 July 2018 will impact the drivers within the framework of digitalisation and partial decentralisation of administrative transport agenda, where the driver will not have to submit photographs and will be able to obtain a driver’s card also at the ORP without local jurisdiction.

The electronic recording equipment, i.e. the tachograph, among other things, also records the vehicle speed, duration of the driver’s break and rest and also allows display and printing of these data. According to European legislation, all vehicles above 3.5 t must be equipped with it. This equipment then records the monitored data and stores them for check, where appropriate.
