A new year with a new banknote sorting machine
At the end of 2020 we extended our technological park with a new banknote sorting machine from the German producer Giesecke+Devrient Currency Technology GmbH. This supply was based on a joint tender with the Czech National Bank, which already took place in 2018. In terms of technology, the new banknote sorting machine is at the highest level offered by the market at present. The machine is under trial operation at the moment, and in May 2021 it is expected to fully replace the original device. This step is not only intended to replace the machine check of banknotes, but also their demanding manual check, which is another step to the production process automation. The new sorting machine is able to check and wrap a minimum of 40 banknotes per second.
