On May 18 and 19, 2026, Hradec Králové once again became the center of Czech digitalization. The city hosted the 28th annual ISSS conference, the largest and most significant professional event focused on the digitalization of public administration in the Czech Republic. This year’s edition attracted more than 2,000 participants from the ranks of the state administration, local governments, politics, and the technology sector.
Over the course of two days, the conference featured nearly 150 presentations, panel discussions, and specialized seminars, with nearly 200 speakers taking the stage. Another key part of the program was the exhibition area, where nearly 70 companies showcased innovative solutions and technologies designed for modern public administration. The main topics of this year’s event included the future of Czech eGovernment, the use of artificial intelligence in government services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and the digitization of internal government processes. The expert discussions also focused on digital identity, open data, Smart City projects, the digitization of healthcare, and the effective financing of technological innovations in the public sector.
Representatives from the State Printing Office were also in attendance at the conference, taking advantage of this unique opportunity to meet with experts from public administration and technology companies and gain insight into the latest trends and upcoming projects in the areas of public administration information systems, national crisis management, and records management. Participation in the ISSS yielded a wealth of valuable insights, inspiring ideas, and new contacts that can contribute to the further development of STC’s activities in the areas of digitization and modern digital services, as well as to STC’s role as part of the nation’s critical infrastructure.
For nearly three decades, the ISSS Conference has reaffirmed its role as a key platform for sharing experiences, fostering expert discussion, and seeking common approaches to making public administration more efficient and modern. This year, it once again demonstrated that the successful digital transformation of government relies on cooperation, innovation, and open dialogue between the public and private sectors.
