On the world scale the Czech Republic has the seventh most powerful passport<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>

Novinky.cz published the results of a study, which compares the so-called Passport Index, i.e. the power of a passport. The Czechs can travel without visas to 173 countries. The Czech Republic thus shares seventh place with New Zealand and Malta. Since last year, the Czech Republic is up the rank by two places and five countries in the ranking. The citizens of Japan and Singapore have the most powerful passports. They can travel to 180 countries without visas. On the contrary, the worst is Afghanistan, whose citizens can travel without visas only to 24 countries, Iranians to 27 and Syrians to 28. The most progressive was the UAE, which is up 34 places in the last ten years. This year, its citizens can travel to 140 countries only with their passports.<\/p>\n

The ranking was compiled by the consulting firm Henley & Partners with seat on Jersey Island. The Henley Passport Index is based on the data, which are provided to the company by non-government organizations that are members of the International Air Transport Association.<\/p>\n

Passports are one of the key products of the STC. Since 2006, we have produced more than 6,500,000 biometric passports. The passports are made using state-of-the-art technologies and many special security elements are used in their production with objective to protect them against forging.<\/p>\n
